Mrs. Robyn Milos
Robyn brings 16 years of Montessori teaching experience, 16 summers of assisting at the Montessori Training Center, and two years as Director of Education with her to lead the Montessori Lab School at Grand Center. Having attending Montessori as a young child, she feels at home and completely fulfilled in Montessori. Robyn and her husband have four sons and two grandsons. While the older sons are alumni of Montessori, the younger two actively attend Montessori Elementary and Montessori Adolescent Programs. She has always championed others on their path in Montessori, seeking to mentor and support in every way possible. It seems a perfect fit for Robyn to join the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis full-time as Executive Director and support the center in its time of growth.
Mrs. Julia Kohlberg
Julia is a graduate of Southeast Missouri State and holds an AMI Primary (3-6) diploma from the Montessori Training Center of St. Louis as well as an AMI-NAMTA Adolescent Orientation diploma. Julia has been working with children for over 30 years in various capacities–in private Montessori schools in the area as well as with the Special School District of St. Louis County providing services with children on the autistic spectrum. All four of her children attended Montessori schools. When she is not at school, she can often be found teaching Boy Scouts how to ride horses or riding her Paso Fino horse, Hidalgo de Zorro Rojo.

Mrs. Lakshmi Shekhar
Lakshmi has more than 15 years of Montessori teaching experience. She is certified in AMI Montessori instruction at primary and elementary levels. She has a deep understanding of the Montessori philosophy to kindle the curiosity of every child. Her love for children translates into creating an environment for each child that fosters comfort, a joy of learning, a sense of belonging and ownership. Lakshmi is dedicated to each child’s holistic development. She loves traveling, reading and has a penchant for learning. Mrs. Shekhar is an Auxiliary Trainer in the AMI Training of Trainers Programme. She has a Master’s in English Literature.
Morning Primary Assistant
Mrs. Kelli Martin
Kelli Martin has post graduate degrees and technical skills in chemistry, biology and the physical sciences with a Masters Degree in environmental science (Bioremediation) from Barao de Maua University in Ribeirao Preto, Brazil. A native of Brazil, she is fluent in Portuguese and Spanish and has experience teaching high school and middle school science as well as Portuguese. She and her husband live in Ballwin with their two teen-age children, Angelica and Gabriela. Kelli is energetic and fun and injects a second language into the classroom environment in a natural, conversational way.
Afternoon Primary Assistant
Mrs. Danielle Cavalari
Danielle is our afternoon Classroom Assistant in the Children’s House, known by the children as Ms. Dani. She is one of our Montessori Teacher Trainees at the Training Center, where she has been studying Montessori Education since 2016. Danielle is certainly a Montessori enthusiast and loves to take part in this environment where the children can develop to their fullest potential. Ms. Dani is Brazilian, graduated in Environmental Management from Universidade de São Paulo. She has come in contact with Montessori in the U.S., after working in another Montessori School. Dani also practices Capoeira (Brazilian martial art) and lives with her husband here in St. Louis.
After School Program Assistant
Mrs. Margaret Muehl
Margaret is our after school program Assistant. She is a Montessori teacher trainee and has spent two years already at the Training Center, learning ‘Montessori ways’ of moving, speaking, and acting with children. Margaret is a Renaissance woman. A Cum Laude student at Truman State with coursework in Theater, Italian and English Literature, and a graduate of St. Louis University with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing, Margaret comes to us from a career as a hospital nurse and has several years experience as a classroom assistant in other area Montessori schools. The Muehls live in South City and have two small daughters. I know everyone will love Margaret’s bright smile and sparkling eyes.
Young Children’s Community Guide
Ms. Lisa Fioretti
Lisa has two children, Melina (12) and Gianni (16), both of whom began their schooling with three years of Montessori education. She holds an AMI Assistants to Infancy diploma. Lisa has a masters degree from Washington University in Speech and Hearing and has taught at The Central Institute for the Deaf, the Moog Center for Deaf Education, the Special School District, and St. Michael School.
Lisa is a passionate believer in the Montessori method and enjoys photography and yoga.
Young Children’s Community Assistant
Ms. Taylor Conley
Taylor is our Classroom Assistant in the Young Children’s Community. She graduated from Vermont’s Green Mountain College with a BA in Psychology with an emphasis on multiculturalism and diversity. Taylor has experience working with a diverse population as a preschool teacher, before and after school care, and as a current Educator at the St. Louis Zoo. Taylor lives only a short bike ride away from the St Louis Zoo. In her spare time, she enjoys running outside, working as team building facilitator for the county parks, volunteering, and dance.
